Exile enters 2012 with the long-awaited exhibition by Berlin-based artist collective FORT (Albert Niemann, Anna Jandt and Jenny Kropp). GPR (Ground-penetrating radar) is a geophysical method that uses radar pulses to image the subsurface, but on January the 27th , in Cell63 artgallery, GPR will be the acronym of three most exciting Italian artists – Garavini, Pacini and Rinedda – which are using strong piercing pictures to image the subsurface of our times. Scathing, sharp and perturbing but at the same time ironic, romantic and wrapping, the exhibition will range from paintings to sculptures to videos, presenting a refined selection of the amazing production of these artists, who already rocked the good old Italian boot.

Mario Adorf zählt zu den profiliertesten deutschen Schauspielern. 2009 schenkte er sein privates Archiv der Akademie der Künste. Die Ausstellung greift auf dieses umfangreiche Material zurück: Im Akademie-Gebäude am Pariser Platz sind neben Filmausschnitten erstmals von Adorf gesammelte Fotos, Rollenbücher, Dokumente, Briefe, Manuskripte und Kritiken zu sehen. Die Schau zeigt ihn in internationalen Produktionen, im Neuen Deutschen Film und in seinen großen TV-Mehrteilern. Anhand seiner beeindruckenden knapp sechzigjährigen Schauspielkarriere zeichnet sie auch wichtige Kapitel der europäischen Filmgeschichte nach.

The “no drama house” was built in September 2009, on the garden of the Galerie Giti Nourbakhsch at Kurfürstenstrasse 12 in Berlin. The “no drama house” is a space to live in. It is thought out, and seen as series of situations. Some are inscribed into the form of the architecture itself, narrowness of the space, door upstairs, etc, others are to be generated over the course of time. A purpose of the house is to condition and create gestures. This experimentation of the space is seen as an extension of the given setting, a way to extend and translate it into daily life.

LISTROS art collection is called A DREAM IN A BOX and began at with the gallery’s initial exhibition at Galerie Eva Poll, Berlin-Lützowplatz in May 2003. 29 artists from Berlin focused on the living conditions of working children and teenagers (shoeshiners) in Ethiopa. The resulting 29 works not only layed the foundation for the collection, but also triggered a new way of discussing Africa-related topics in Germany. From this evolved impulses for a change of perspective on Africa as well as the message that is so important for all LISTROS protagonists.
