Stella A. is a place for art, which understands the spectator as part of the creative act, for works of art that are not only directed towards the eye but as well to the mind, for artists and works of art which don't let the gap between art and life get too wide. 'Art is what makes life more interesting than art.' (Robert Filliou) Since 1999 we have presented group shows oriented toward themes such as 'Naked Experience', 'Void' or 'Where do we go from here?' as well as exhibitions dedicated to artists like George Brecht, Bud Powell, Wols or Cézanne and a number of one person shows. For most of the exhibitions we produce mulitples in small editions. We also offer editions and multiples by artists like Joseph Beuys, George Brecht, Robert Filliou, Marcel Duchamp, Dieter Roth as well as selected artist's books, antiquarian (rare) books, exhibition catalogues etc. Dorle Döpping, Michael Behn
