FELLINI Gallery was founded in 2008 in Shanghai, China by an award-winning film producer and art lover. Inspired by the works of the legendary Italian film director Federico Fellini, FELLINI was destined to be an art salon where artists and art lovers can gather to exchange ideas and inspire progress. LIEBKRANZ wurde im Januar 2012 in Berlin-Mitte von Naimah Schütter und Stefan Dauksch gegründet. Im Herzen Berlins gelegen, stellen wir zeitgenössische Malerei, Skulpturen und Fotografie aus.
Wir sind der Ansicht, dass Kunst alles kann, aber nicht muss. Vielseitiges Interesse, unkonventionelle Ideen, Offenheit, Kompetenz und unsere Begeisterung für Kunst sind unsere Antriebsfedern.
Wir bieten Raum für künstlerische Veranstaltungen und einen Showroom für individuelle Präsentationen von Kunstgegenständen.
Unsere Auswahl bezieht sich auf Werke, die im Betrachter Emotionen erwecken und zum Nachdenken anregen. In unseren Ausstellungen bieten wir qualitativ hochwertige Werke von bekannten und aufstrebenden Künstlern und Künstlerinnen an. Wir fördern Talente aus aller Welt.
Weiterhin bewegen wir uns im Kunsthandel mit einer Auswahl exklusiver Arbeiten verschiedener Epochen. Hierfür können wir ein internationales Netzwerk vorweisen. Teil dieses Netzwerkes sind Künstler, Kunstsammler, Galerien, Kunsthändler, Kunstsachverständige, Sicherheitsspezialisten, Restauratoren, Kunstspediteure, aber auch Rechtsanwälte, Werbeagenturen, Banken und Versicherer. aleidoskop is an independent gallery and project space that actively curates and organizes exhibitions, happenings and performances. It was founded by Natalie van Sasse van Ysselt in 2009.

Amélie Seydoux and Bernard Jordan have opened an art gallery specializing in limited editions and drawings in Berlin-Mitte in May 2008.
A web designer, Amélie Seydoux has worked for over 10 years with Eric Seydoux, a renowned silkscreen printmaker and publisher in Paris. She is very well versed in both the publishing scene and printing techniques.
Bernard Jordan has held a Parisian gallery in Paris for over 20 years. For many years he has consecrated a part of his exhibition space to prints and multiples, working with French and foreign publishers. In 2008 he launched a second space in Zurich where a part of the exhibition room is dedicated to drawings.
Jordan and Seydoux’s wish to be partners arose from their mutual attachment to original limited editions, that allow artists the possibility to create original art work that they could not otherwise do. Those original art works are the result of a close and subtile collaboration between the artist and the printmaker. The number of prints for such editions is usually rather small (10 to 40), and their prices are affordable.
In their gallery, Amélie Seydoux and Bernard Jordan propose a selection of original prints and multiples by international artists, coming from the best publishers. The gallery alternate between presenting collective and one-man shows, as well as drawing exhibitions.
Since october 2009 the Gallery Jordan / Seydoux is also publisher. The first edition was made with berliner artist Frank BADUR, a series of 6 woodcuts printed by Tabor Presse Berlin. In January 2011 the Gallery presented its second edition, 2 big lithographies from french artist Françoise PÉTROVITCH printed by Tabor Presse Berlin. Its third edition, Recso-Verto 0°, 25°, 45°, is a series of three screen prints by François MORELLET published on the occasion of the second solo show of the artist in the Gallery (Spring 2011). Printed on both side on a thick translucent material they were produced in Paris by Atelier Eric Seydoux. The Gallerys latest edition, Rosa et/und Jules by french artist Pierre BURAGLIO, is a series of 10 unique lithographs. Printed on various paper types by Atelier Auger in Paris, each one has been afterwards reworked by the artist in his studio (collage, assemblage, colored pencils,...).

Amélie Seydoux, Designerin von Websites, hat viele Jahren mit Eric Seydoux, einem renommierten Verleger und Siebdrucker in Paris gearbeitet. Sie ist eine hervorragende Kennerin des Verlagswesens und der Drucktechniken. Sie lebt in Berlin.
Bernard Jordan führt seit mehr als zwei Jahrzehnten eine Galerie in Paris und widmet seit mehreren Jahren einen Teil seines Ausstellungsraumes ganz der Präsentation von Grafiken und Multiples französischer und internationaler Verleger. Unlängst hat er in Zürich eine Filiale eröffnet, wo ein Raum eigens für die Präsentation von Papierarbeiten bestimmt ist.
Aufgrund ihrer besonderen Leidenschaft für Kunsteditionen ist es beider Ziel, sich ganz der Edition zu widmen und Künstlern die Möglichkeit zu geben, originale Werke herzustellen, die sie anders nicht realisieren könnten. Diese sind das Ergebnis einer engen und intensiven Zusammenarbeit zwischen dem Künstler und dem Drucker (Siebdrucker, Lithograph u.a.). Es sind Werke in geringer Auflage (10 bis 40), die zu einem erschwinglichen Preis dem interessierten Publikum angeboten werden.
Amélie Seydoux und Bernard Jordan vertreiben eine ständige Auswahl von hochwertigen signierten Grafiken und Multiples internationaler Künstler, die sie bei den besten Verlegern ausgesucht haben. Abwechselnd zeigt die Galerie Einzel- und Gruppenausstellungen sowie Ausstellungen von Zeichnungen.
Darüber hinaus ist die Galerie Jordan/Seydoux auch als Herausgeber eigener limitierter Editionen tätig.
Im Oktober 2009 wurde die erste Edition mit dem Berliner Künstler Frank BADUR fertig gestellt und veröffentlicht: eine Serie von sechs Holzschnitten, gedruckt im Berliner Atelier Tabor Presse.
Im Januar 2011 folgte die Herausgabe von zwei großen Lithographien der französischen Künstlerin Françoise PÉTROVITCH, ebenfalls gedruckt von Tabor Presse Berlin.
Anlässlich seiner zweiten Einzelausstellung in der Galerie erschien im Frühjahr 2011 die dritte Edition mit dem französischen Künstler François MORELLET: Recso-Verto 0°, 25°, 45° - drei beidseitig gedruckte Siebdrucke auf einem transluzenten Träger, gefertigt im Atelier Eric Seydoux, Paris.
Die jüngste Edition der Galerie ist eine Serie von 10 Unikat-Lithographien, Rosa et/und Jules, des französischen Künstlers Pierre BURAGLIO. Sie haben den 1. Weltkrieg zum Gegenstand und wurden auf verschiedenen Arten von Papier im Atelier Auger in Paris gedruckt und danach vom Künstler individuell überarbeitet (Collage, Assemblage, Buntstift).

Jochen Hempel Gallery opened in July 2011 and continues the work of Dogenhaus Galerie.
Dogenhaus Galerie was founded in 1992 in Leipzig, Germany by its owner and director Jochen Hempel. Between 1993 and 1998, Jochen Hempel also ran a project space in Berlin, called Dogenhaus Projekte Berlin in addition to the Leipzig gallery.
Dogenhaus´s longstanding collaborations with artists and collectors create an excellent basis for the work of Jochen Hempel Gallery. The gallery is based at Baumwollspinnerei Leipzig, a former industrial site, which developed to a lively place for contemporary art. The old steam engine hall, where the gallery is located, offers a unique exhibition space with flexible walls. The gallery is set over 3,800 square feet and includes the main exhibition space with a height of about 75 feet. The versatility and scale of the space has allowed the gallery to strive towards fulfilling its commitment to museum quality presentations in its approach to exhibiting its artists.
Jochen Hempel Gallery start working with a new focus and a more concentrated program. The gallery will focus on new fresh international artists such as Julius Popp, Tilo Schulz and Oliver Kossack and will also represent major mid career artists like Esko Männikkö and Ulf Puder as well as some established artists like Beat Streuli and Stephan Balkenhol.
In addition to mounting gallery exhibitions Jochen Hempel Gallery also run a public wall in front of the gallery for development of a parallel programme of experimental off projects.

For 25 years Galerie Isabella Czarnowska has played an important role in introducing exceptional contemporary artists to Western European audiences.
In the early days of the gallery, which was founded as Galerie Isabella Kacprzak in Stuttgart in 1986 and relocated to Cologne in 1989, comprehensive monographic exhibitions were given to American artists who were at that time virtually unknown in Europe: Allan McCollum, Louise Lawler and Richard Prince were among those presented here at an early stage of their careers. In Cologne, two outstanding painters joined the gallery – South African-born Marlene Dumas and Luc Tuymans from Belgium. The Polish sculptor Miroslaw Balka also had his first German exhibition here in 1991. Following the significant shift in the geopolitical situation in Central Europe, the gallery moved to Berlin in the mid-1990s. Among the many individual and group exhibitions that have been held here since then, two major exhibitions in 2007 and 2009 focussed on the work of the forgotten Polish sculptor Alina Szapocznikow.
While continuing to work with established international artists, Galerie Isabella Czarnowska places great emphasis on fostering the careers of young and emerging talents. The artists represented receive the full support of the gallery, whether they are mounting an exhibition in our space or preparing shows and publications with museums or other art institutions. Galerie Isabella Czarnowska also publishes its own exhibition catalogues and monographs. From 1986 to 2003 the gallery operated under the names “Isabella Kacprzak” and “Galerie Isabella Kacprzak”. From 2006 onwards this changed to “Galerie Isabella Czarnowska (formerly Kacprzak)”, and since the beginning of 2011 the gallery name has been “Galerie Isabella Czarnowska”.

Galerie Haus Schneider has been incorporated in 1994. In 1998 Heinz-Martin Weigand became a partner in the gallery and took it over in 2003. The gallery's name is Galerie Heinz-Martin Weigand now.
By the end of 2011 the gallery is closing its Ettlingen premises and will open a new gallery space in Berlin in spring 2012.

1994 wurde die Galerie Haus Schneider gegründet. Im Jahre 1998 wurde Heinz-Martin Weigand Teilhaber der Galerie und übernahm sie 2003. Die Galerie erhielt den Namen Galerie Heinz-Martin Weigand.
Zum Ende des Jahres 2011 schließt die Galerie ihre Ausstellungsräume in Ettlingen und eröffnet im Frühjahr 2012 neue Räume in Berlin.

The Hengesbach Gallery was founded 1991 in Wuppertal by Rolf Hengesbach under the name Räume für neue Kunst. It developed out of the necessity to create concentrated art-experiences through a close cooperation with the artists. On February 7th 1992 the gallery oepend the first exhibition. In 2002 the Gallery moved to Cologne, in Summer 2009 it opened the current space in Berlin at Checkpoint Charlie. In Wuppertal the gallery still runs a dependance named Kunstraum Hengesbach.
The gallery owns ideal exhibition conditions after an extensive modification, which recovered the original character of the industrial hall. The puristic straightness of the gallery space offers sufficient free space for a divers gallery program with a focus on painting and photography, as well as sculpture and media art. The Charlottenstreet houses several other galleries which are one of the centres for Contemporary Art in Berlin.
A close co-operation with public museums and exhibition-places has developed over 20 years. Texts have been written together with high quality catalogue publications. The gallery program doesn't follow any special artistic directions. Regardless of artistic media or form, the program accentuates in focusing on the aesthetical virtuosity to express the complexity of nowadays life.

Die Galerie wurde 1991 unter dem Namen "Räume für neue Kunst" in Wuppertal gegründet. Sie entstand aus dem Bestreben in enger Zusammenarbeit mit den Künstlern konzentrierte Kunsterlebnisse zu schaffen. Am 7. Februar 1992 erfolgte die erste Ausstellung. 2002 bis 2009 war die Galerie in Köln ansässig und zog anschließend nach Berlin zum Checkpoint Charlie. In Wuppertal betreibt die Galerie eine Dependance mit dem Namen Kunstraum Hengesbach.
Nach einem umfangreichen Umbau, der den ursprünglichen architektonischen Charakter des Industriegebäudes wiederherstellte, sind heute auf 350 qm optimale Ausstellungsbedingungen geschaffen worden. Die puristische Geradlinigkeit der Räume bietet genügend Freiraum für ein abwechslungsreiches Galerieprogramm mit einem Schwerpunkt auf Malerei und Fotografie, aber auch Skulptur und Medienkunst. An der Charlottenstraße sind weitere Galerien angesiedelt, sodass der Standort zu einem der Zentren für zeitgenössische Kunst in Berlin avanciert ist.
Im Laufe der Jahre hat sich eine enge Zusammenarbeit mit öffentlichen Ausstellungsinstituten entwickelt. Zu allen Künstlern wurden eigene Texte verfasst, für viele eigene Kataloge erarbeitet. Das Programm folgt keinen bestimmten Stilrichtungen. Wichtig sind eine originäre Ausdruckssprache und eine reflektierte künstlerische Verarbeitung der Komplexität unserer heutigen Zeit.

Since its foundation in 1995, the Kai Hilgemann Gallery has ever since concentrated on international contemporary art. Starting at Linienstrasse, Berlin-Mitte, in 2003 the Gallery moved to one of the finest location for the arts in Berlin: Zimmerstrasse 90/91 near Checkpoint Charlie. Lately based in a 500 sqm industrial hall, the gallery was proud to show contemporary art without restrictions focussing in the establishement of emerging artists careers and the handling of outstanding mid-career artists.

The Galerie Deschler opened its space in a carefully restored late 19th-century building in 1995. It is located in renowned Auguststrasse in Berlin’s Mitte district, right in the heart of Berlin’s dynamic new gallery scene. The gallery is very active in art community and as a member of LVBG (State Association of Berlin Galleries).
The gallery supports young and experimental positions of contemporary art, presenting to the public pioneering approaches in the areas of painting, sculpture, objects, and new media. Its focus is on figurative art and tech- nically innovative explorations of artistic traditions. Important examples of this approach are Stefan Roloff’s digital morphing of photographs in his portrait series, Tony Conway’s inventive use of digital photography to cre- ate multi-layered pictures with a sculptural presence, Christian Roeck's rendering of after-images in his interactive RETINA PROJECT, as well as Holger Bär’s use of a painting robot developed by himself. An ironic use and play with the forms of traditional craftsmanship are a prominent feature in KEHL’s lacquered wood sculptures based on popular woodcraft figures from the German Erzgebirge region, in Patricia Waller’s bewildering world of whimsical objects made of crochet work, in Hans van Meeuwen’s un- usual view of everyday objects, and in Wolfram Odin’s combination of wall- paper patterns and personal ads in his wallpaper installations. More estab- lished positions represented by the gallery include Xenia Hausner’s combi- nations of painting, photography and collage, Elvira Bach’s paintings of strong women, as well as Rainer Fetting’s gesturally-expressive paintings. The gallery has an international scope and currently represents artists from many different countries, including Germany, the US, Holland, Denmark, Austria, Chile, and Argentina.
In its exhibition policy, the gallery does not dogmatically cling to a rigid structure. Rather, it deliberately seeks out crucial breaks in contemporary art that reflect its multifaceted variety in a complex period characterized by ceaseless change. Shows in the past have often included installations, vi- deo works, and collaborative projects. The gallery’s yearly “Curious” show presents unusual and experimental positions in contemporary sculpture and object-making.
The gallery is very active in organizing and supporting international art pro- jects, in participating in national and international art fairs, and in producing publications.

Marcus Deschler gründete 1995 in der Auguststraße in Mitte seine Galerie. In dieser Aufbruchsituation Berlins setzte er auf ein Programm mit jungen sowie etablierten Positionen und wurde Teil einer sich dynamisch entwickelnden Galerienszene. 2001 wurden die Galerieräume behutsam saniert und erweitert. Der Betriebswirt Marcus Deschler versteht die Galerie als Schnittstelle zum Markt. Über die Herstellung von Öffentlichkeit, ein erprobtes Netzwerk sowie enga- gierte Verbandsarbeit im Landesverband Berliner Galerien (wo er im Vorstand mitwirkt) positioniert er seine Künstler und richtet den Fo- kus auf den internationalen Markt. Dazu trägt auch die Teilnahme an verschiedenen nationalen wie auch internationalen Messen bei.
Die Galerie arbeitet eng mit einer begrenzten, aber sorgfältig aus- gesuchten Gruppe von Künstlern zusammen, die der Öffentlichkeit in regelmäßigen Einzelausstellungen präsentiert werden. Der Schwerpunkt des internationalen Programms liegt auf technisch in- novativen Erkundungen künstlerischer Traditionen vorwiegend jun- ger Künstler. Dafür stehen beispielsweise die von einem Malroboter gefertigten Bilder von Holger Bär, die aus mehreren Schichten be- stehenden Plexiglasreliefs von Tony Conway, Stefan Roloffs digitale Morphings von Fotografien, die Netzhaut-Nachbilder in Christian Roecks interaktivem RETINA PROJECT, sowie Jay Mark Johnsons fotografische Aufzeichnungen ganzer Bewegungsabläufe. Der iro- nische Umgang mit Formen traditionellen Kunsthandwerks sind ein hervorstechendes Merkmal der hochglanzlackierten erzgebirgischen Holzskulpturen von KEHL, Patricia Wallers skurriler Welt gehäkelter Objekte, Hans van Meeuwens ungewöhnliche Sicht auf Alltagsge- genstände und Wolfram Odins Kombination von Tapetenmustern und Kontaktanzeigentexten.
Ebenso vertritt die Galerie eine Reihe von namhaften Künstlern von internationalem Rang, die der Berliner Kunstszene entstammen oder in Berlin tätig sind: Rainer Fetting, Salomé, Elvira Bach und Xenia Hausner sind darunter die herausragendsten Namen.
Neben den Einzelpräsentationen seiner Künstler zeigt der Galerist themenorientierte Gruppenausstellungen wie die jährliche Ausstel- lung „CURIOUS“, welche die Vielfalt und Komplexität der zeitgenös- sischen Kunst in ihrem temporären Wandel widerspiegeln. Ein be- sonderes Engagement gilt der Organisation und Durchführung inter- nationaler künstlerischer Projekte, die durch rege Publikationstätig- keit unterstützt werden.

Supportico Lopez was born in Naples in 2003 with the characteristic of being the project of two artists and a curator that decided to have a room in their flat open to public exhibitions of international artists. The project continued during years run by Gigiotto Del Vecchio – one of the founder – and Stefania Palumbo as a curatorial space for contemporary art diffusion, taking its name from the street in which it was located in Naples, in one of the oldest and most characteristic districts of the city and one of the most contradictory: “la Sanità”
In 2008 Supportico Lopez decided to start a new life again, moving away to Berlin. Here, in the new space in Graefestrasse 9 in Kreuzberg, the aim is to be a gallery in which the curatorial attitude of the two directors will be more and more a peculiarity.

The Turkish art and cultural scene developed tremendously fast within the last years, particularly in Istanbul. In the 1980s young Turkish artists broke with the traditional art of their country, at first unnoticed by the Turkish public and the global art world. After years of isolation this generation of artists in the 1990s indicated their wish to speak also internationally and set decisive examples - politically engaged, aesthetically radical and with new artistic arguments. The Istanbul Biennale, founded in 1987, by this time experienced an increasing significance and has since then a high standing for the contemporary art, not only within Turkey. The Istanbul Biennale got a local and international network going, of which the development is still pushed ahead first by private individuals and private foundations. Several big concerns and banking houses have set up new exhibition spaces like Borusan, Platform Garanti or PROJE 4L, all of which are explicitly meant to be platforms for the discussion of new and avantgarde tendencies. Apart from the Istanbul Museum of Contemporary Art (founded in the mid 1990s) SantralIstanbul was recently opened, a museum of contemporary art connected to the Bilgi University, which is at the same time a center of culture and education and accommodates the first international artist-in-residence program in Turkey. In view of this development people even spoke about the “miracle of Istanbul” at the turn of the millennium: a phenomenon which - not least in the context of discussions about the expansion of the European Union - by that time caused an increasing attention for contemporary art from Turkey especially in Germany, as proofed by numerous exhibition projects.
The project space Tanas is meant to further follow the continuous developments of contemporary Turkish art and to present them in Berlin - in close cooperation with Turkish persons engaged in the cultural sector and independent from representative duties. Tanas is supposed to be a platform for the steady discussion and interaction of Turkish artists and curators with the German and international audience. Berlin represents the proper position for this purpose with regards to the local cultural landscape as well as the social and political implications. Not least Istanbul and Berlin are connected by a sister-city arrangement since 1988 within the context of which a fine tangle of relations in the field of art has been created, for example by grants and cooperations of cultural institutions.Tanas is managed by René Block who now continues his long-standig examination of contemporary art from Turkey. Already in 1994 he presented a survey of a, at that time, unknown scene with Iskele. Türkische Kunst Heute (ifa-Galerie, Stuttgart).
With Orient/ation he set a new standard for the Istanbul Biennale in 1995 and 1998 the exhibition Iskorpit - Aktuelle Kunst aus Istanbul (Haus der Kulturen der Welt, Berlin) followed. At present René Block is furthermore entrusted with the edition of a series of monographs about Turkish artists at YKY publisher’s in Istanbul.
Tanas is created in close cooperation with the Vehbi Koç Foundation in Istanbul. The Vehbi Koç Foundation supports educational, social and cultural projects and founded the first private museum in Turkey in 1980 (Sadberk Hanim Museum). TANAS is an anagram of Sanat, the Turkish word for art.

Die türkische Kunst- und Kulturszene hat sich, insbesondere in Istanbul, in den letzten Jahren rasant entwickelt. In den 1980er Jahren haben junge türkische Künstler den Bruch mit der traditionellen Kunst ihres Landes vollzogen, zunächst unbeachtet von der Öffentlichkeit im eigenen Land und der globalen Kunstszene. Nach Jahren der Isolation meldete sich diese Künstlergeneration in den 1990er Jahren auch international zu Wort und setzte politisch engagiert, ästhetisch radikal und mit neuen bildnerischen Argumenten maßgebliche Zeichen. Auch die seit 1987 bestehende Istanbul Biennale erfuhr in dieser Zeit zunehmend an Bedeutung und hat seither einen hohen Stellenwert für die zeitgenössische Kunst, nicht nur in der Türkei. Mit der Biennale von Istanbul wurde die Bildung eines lokalen und internationalen Netzwerks in Gang gesetzt, dessen Ausformung nach wie vor in erster Linie von Privatpersonen und privaten Stiftungen vorangetrieben wird. Einige große Unternehmen und Bankhäuser haben neue Ausstellungsorte eingerichtet, wie etwa Borusan, Platform Garanti oder PROJE 4L, die alle ausdrücklich eine Plattform für die Diskussion neuer und avantgardistischer Tendenzen bilden sollen. Neben dem Mitte der 1990er Jahre gegründeten Istanbul Museum of Contemporary Art entstand kürzlich SantralIstanbul, ein der Bilgi-Universität angegliedertes Museum für zeitgenössische Kunst, das zugleich auch Kultur- und Bildungszentrum ist und das erste internationale Artist-in-Residence Programm der Türkei beherbergt. Um die Jahrtausendwende sprach man angesichts dieser Entwicklung sogar vom “Wunder von Istanbul”, ein Phänomen, das nicht zuletzt im Zusammenhang mit den Diskussionen um die EU-Erweiterung damals für besonders hohe Aufmerksamkeit gegenüber zeitgenössischer Kunst aus der Türkei gerade im deutschsprachigen Raum sorgte, wie zahlreiche Ausstellungsprojekte belegen.
Mit dem Projektraum Tanas sollen die fortlaufenden Entwicklungen der zeitgenössischen türkischen Kunst weiter verfolgt und in Berlin präsentiert werden - in enger Zusammenarbeit mit türkischen Kulturschaffenden und unabhängig von repräsentativen Pflichten. Tanas versteht sich als Plattform der kontinuierlichen Auseinandersetzung und regelmäßigen Interaktion von türkischen Künstlern und Kuratoren mit dem deutschen und internationalen Publikum. Berlin bildet hierfür den richtigen Standort, sowohl hinsichtlich der hiesigen Kulturlandschaft als auch der gesellschaftlichen und politischen Implikationen. Nicht zuletzt verbindet Istanbul und Berlin seit 1988 eine Städtepartnerschaft, in deren Rahmen durch Stipendienprogramme und Kooporationen kultureller Institutionen ein feines Beziehungsgeflecht im Bereich der Kunst entstanden ist. Der Projektraum Tanas wird von René Block betreut, der damit seine langjährige Auseinandersetzung mit zeitgenössischer Kunst aus der Türkei fortführt.
Bereits 1994 präsentierte er mit Iskele. Türkische Kunst Heute (ifa-Galerie, Stuttgart) einen Überblick über eine damals noch unbekannte Szene. 1995 setzte er unter dem Titel Orient/ation neue Maßstäbe für die Istanbul Biennale und 1998 folgte die Ausstellung Iskorpit - Aktuelle Kunst aus Istanbul (Haus der Kulturen der Welt, Berlin). Zurzeit ist René Block zudem mit der Herausgabe einer Reihe von Monografien über türkische Künstler beim YKY Verlag, Istanbul, betraut.
Tanas entsteht in enger Zusammenarbeit mit der Vehbi Koç Foundation in Istanbul. Die Vehbi Koç Foundation fördert Projekte im edukativen, sozialen und kulturellen Bereich und gründete 1980 mit dem Sadberk Hanim Museum das erste private Museum der Türkei. Das Wort TANAS ist ein Anagramm von Sanat, dem türkischen Wort für Kunst.

On 9 September 2011, NBR opened its first temporary project space in Berlin-Neukölln, close to Tempelhofer Feld and in the middle of one of the most energetic areas of town. 2012 will be dedicated to projects in various spaces across the town.

Ein kleiner, aber sehr feiner Weihnachtsmarkt lockt die Besucher am 4. Dezember 2011 in die Naturschutzstation Malchow nach Hohenschönhausen.
Hier kann man sich eine duftende Kiefer aus dem Bucher Forst sichern. Kunstvolle Adventsgestecke und kleine Geschenke zum Fest sowie selbst gedrehte Bienenwachskerzen sind im Angebot.
Und was gibt es außerdem? Originelle Keramik-Unikate, Bücher, Imkereiartikel, Bio-Rindfleisch und Bio-Salami - und nicht zuletzt die kulinarischen Höhepunkte aus dem Storchencafé.
Auch selbst basteln kann der Besucher an diesem Tag - allein die Kosten für den Materialeinsatz sind hier zu tragen.

offers a forum with a new format for the presentation of exhibitions of contemporary art and intercultural projects in Berlin. The capital is one of the most interesting metropolises for art and culture. In the centre of the capital at the Alexanderplatz, the most dynamically developing hub of the city, the presentation of art will reach a new dimension with high public appeal.This is made possible by the partnership with the Park Inn Berlin-Alexanderplatz, a superlative four star conference and business hotel and the largest city hotel in Berlin.
Due to the increasing process of globalisation the intercultural exchange is becoming more and more important, to encounter and deal with international art advances the process of intercultural communication. In the building of the Park Inn Berlin-Alexanderplatz more than 30.000 visitors monthly from all over the world will experience an encounter with current international art. Thus the projects of art place berlin will be among the most frequented exhibitions of contemporary art in the city.

From the many sights surrounding the Park Inn it’s only short distance. The exhibitions are open to the public daily and the entry is free of charge. The Park Inn Alexanderplatz can be reached easily due to ideal access to public transportation. The exhibition areas are located on the ground floor and at the first floor in the most frequented and central areas such as the foyer, reception, lobby and in front of the salons. The different areas with heights of up to 5m offer enough room to present also very large projects of painting, graphic, photography and allow the presentation of documentary films and video art.

Podbielski Contemporary was established in the heart of Berlin in early 2011 at Koppenplatz Number 5.This gallery emerged from the shared passion of Pierre André Podbielski, an architect and art dealer, currently partner at Galleria Rubin (Milan) and Isabelle de le Court while she was a PhD Candidate in History of Art at the University of Leeds, (UK), working under the supervision of Professor Griselda Pollock. The emphasis of Podbielski Contemporary’s programme is to represent contemporary artists who address the geopolitics of the Balkans, the Middle East and Italy in transcultural perspectives. Although the Balkans and the Middle East can be seen and read as two “transitional” geographic areas between East and West, they do represent more than geographic borders and situations. Crude geographic groupings and labels do not, however, give a true representation of the divisions that may exist between countries in these areas and fail to address the inner economic, social and cultural realities that exist in the face of external political pressures. These are the issues the artists of Podbielski Contemporary will address 1. Their works, more often than not, are the result of sustained and positive cross-border relationships known as transnationalism. They are better defined in such terms as "Itinerant Identities" or "Geographic Bodies" – coined by Ursula Biemann – more fitting to a world marked by virtual and instantaneous worldwide activities 2. In a context in which geographies are possibly losing importance, the figure of the artist has been increasingly assimilated to that of a nomadic individual, travelling the world. The resulted exhibited work frames his / her experience of migration and displacement, and subsequent reflection on homeland. As an act of survival, the artist confronts and challenges the globalization of culture. Berlin, long known for its division is now a city that although unified is also a multicultural landscape whose influence, in a time of globalization, reaches far beyond the boundaries of Europe. This has contributed to the city's unique cultural make-up, unstoppable development and visibility at an international level. Podbielski Contemporary seeks to promote transnational work (mostly contemporary photography and video installations) with exhibitions, scholarly catalogues and by finding this work a home in international private and museum collections. Its founders strongly believe that a gallery, besides representing artists and promoting their works in the optimal way, should serve as a centre for the exchange of ideas about art and culture. Podbielski Contemporary aims to merge art dealing activities with academic research, presenting special events such as artists talks, performances, conferences and screening evenings, to become not only a lively space for art lovers and art collectors, but also a cultural platform for young scholars and the Berlin art community in general.May its small-scale intervention help sustain wider efforts to overcome the compartmentalization of the art field between public and private institutions.

Herzlich Willkommen auf der Webseite der Galerie Friedmann-Hahn! Was unterscheidet den Sammler vom tristen Investor? Sammler sammeln aus Leidenschaft und würden auch nur einem einzigen Kunstwerk ein eigenes Haus bauen. Sie lieben das Werk und sehen in dem Erwerb, sprich dem Verlust ihres Geldes, einen kompletten Gewinn. Nicht nur, weil das Kunstwerk in seinem Wert steigen könnte, sondern weil diese Skulptur, diese Fotografie oder dieses Gemälde sie ihr Leben lang begleiten wird und der nächsten Generation so manche Geschichte über sie erzählenkann. Kunst = Kapital, die Beuys-Formel hat so recht! Dass meine Galerie für viele Sammler und Liebhaber von zeitgenössischer Kunst inzwischen zu einer Institution geworden ist, verdanke ich der Hingabe, die auch ich empfinde, wenn die Kunst mich „packt“. Ohne diese Lust an Bildern wäre ich niemals das Wagnis eingegangen, 300 qm Galeriefläche im Westen Berlins zu mieten, ein Wagnis, das nun, nach drei Jahren, die schönsten Früchte trägt. Die leisen Momente des Innehaltens, die spannenden Perspektivwechsel und die immer wieder neuen Weltenräume, zu denen man durch eine einzige Tür mitten in Charlottenburg gelangt, ist nun zu einer atmosphärischen Verdichtung von Kunst geworden.

The Berlin Gallerist Annelie Hillmer has specialized on Georgian Art for more than ten years. In her Gallery in Berlin Charlottenburg she continues the close relationship between both countries which has its origin in the 19 century. Berlin always had a magical attraction on Georgian intellectuals and artists. There also was a huge interest on Georgian Art from this side and so in the 1970s and 1980s already it was celebrated as the expression of beauty, mystic and artistic power, which left one longing for the distant country in the Caucasus region. The Gallery presents an exclusive artist, Zaza Tuschmalivili , who came to Berlin in the early 90s. By now he is one of the most popular and important Georgian temporary artists. Here he evolved his distinctive picture language: Iconographical elements of the religious Christian painting , fusioned with Cubism and Surrealism forms. In warm colors and artful techniques the native Georgian home becomes just as comprehensible as his immersion into the modern Western painting.

Egbert Baqué arbeitete bis Anfang der 1990er-Jahre als freier Autor, Übersetzer und Kurator und war als Projektleiter im Rahmen des internationalen Kulturaustauschs verantwortlich für Museums-Ausstellungen. 1991 gründete er seine erste Galerie. Von 1997 bis 2005 war er als Korrespondent einer Pariser Galerie tätig und bereitete in dieser Eigenschaft Ausstellungen mit Künstlern wie Georg Baselitz, Markus Lüpertz, Helmut Middendorf, Norbert Bisky oder Markus Oehlen vor. Seit 2001 ist er auch wieder als Übersetzer aktiv und übertrug Bücher und Katalogbeiträge u.a. zu Pablo Picasso, Henri Matisse, Gustave Courbet, Yves Klein, Bettina Rheims, Jannis Kounellis, John Chamberlain und Louise Bourgeois. Im Herbst 2005 gründete er in Berlin seine neue Galerie Egbert Baqué Contemporary Art, die vor allem Malerei und Photographie zeigt. Sie ist, nur wenige Gehminuten vom Kurfürstendamm entfernt, vorbei am Literaturhaus Berlin und an der Villa Grisebach, direkt am Fasanenplatz im westlichen Zentrum Berlins zu finden. Egbert Baqué worked as a freelance author, translator, curator, and as a project manager in the field of international cultural exchange responsible for museum exhibits until the early 1990s. He founded his first gallery in 1991. From 1997 to 2005 he worked as the correspondent for a gallery in Paris, and in this capacity he prepared exhibitions with artists such as Georg Baselitz, Markus Lüpertz, Helmut Middendorf, Norbert Bisky and Markus Oehlen. Since 2001 he has been active translating books and catalogue articles about Pablo Picasso, Henri Matisse, Gustave Courbet, Yves Klein, Bettina Rheims, Jannis Kounellis, John Chamberlain and Louise Bourgeois among others. In autumn 2005 he founded his new gallery in Berlin, Egbert Baqué Contemporary Art, which primarily exhibits painting and photography. The gallery is located only a 5-minute-stroll from the main boulevard Kurfürstendamm along the Fasanenstrasse, just past the Literaturhaus Berlin and the fine art auction house Villa Grisebach, at the Fasanenplatz in the western center of Berlin.

From now on the Fasanen Gallery will display art online and close the showroom in the Fasanenstrasse in Berlin Charlottenburg. The Gallery first opened its doors in 2006, and since then presented a number of exhibitions which attracted people from all over the world, and thus made the gallery internationally known. Sales and interest from outside Berlin and from abroad have increased gradually. As a consequence, consultations and negotiations do often take place via e-mail. In regard to this development the question arose whether an extension of the premises would be worthwhile. After much deliberation, the Fasanen Gallery decided to offer the art online as well as the details necessary for an informed decision.The viewing of the art can be arranged for you at a suitable time and place or at our office in the Knesebeck Street in Berlin Charlottenburg. Temporary exhibitions will complement the internet service provided by the Fasanen Gallery.
